Kewalo Development LLC is an affiliate of A&B Properties, Inc., which is part of the Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. family of businesses. Our roots as a kama'aina company growing sugarcane trace back to 1870. Transportation and real estate endeavors followed, and today we are a multi-market, multi-faceted company focused on growing our integrated businesses. Our real estate arm embraces the creation of communities that reflect our island heritage, yet blend with contemporary Hawai'i. Once limited to historical landholdings on Maui, our development and investment activities have expanded from Maui to Kaua'i, Hawai'i island, O'ahu, and the U.S. mainland. Through our real estate activities, we have enabled generations of people to enjoy the benefits and security of fee simple home ownership.

Design Partners Incorporated

Established in 1979, Design Partners Incorporated has been providing award-winning planning, architecture, and interior architecture services in Hawai'i and the Pacific Basin, including Guam, Japan and Okinawa, for more than 30 years. Our projects include an extensive array of innovative and enduring residential and resort developments across the State of Hawai'i including single and multi-family homes, residential mixed-use neighborhoods, ocean-front resorts, and master-planned communities, ranging in budget from affordable senior rentals to exclusive luxury residences.

Our commitment to quality design is guided by our philosophy of ingenuity, respect for our island culture and stewardship toward the environment. We believe that living in Hawai'i is a special experience that should be reflected in our designs, creating comfortable, inviting and sustainable homes in our unique island paradise.

Pappageorge Haymes

For more than 30 years, Pappageorge Haymes has designed iconic forms in urban environments. Whether designing an adaptive re-use, single-family home, mid-rise, high-rise, townhouse community, or complex mixed-use environment, our smart, synergistic design transforms perceptions about where people want to work, play, shop, and live.

After decades of bringing back old neighborhoods, we are now reordering a world-class skyline with projects that rank among the 10 tallest Chicago structures. As leaders in determining issues of urbanism and the regeneration of cities, we are moving into other product categories now seeing more value in an urbanist approach.

Whether quietly respectful of historical context or boldly innovative and contemporary, we are committed to staying smart about design and finding value - aesthetically, functionally and socially - in what we compose.

Philpotts Interiors

Mary Philpotts McGrath began Philpotts Interiors from a storefront in downtown Honolulu in the 1960s. Her goal was to give the new buildings that were springing up everywhere in the city "a sense of place."

Today our principal designers, Marion Philpotts Miller and Jonathan Staub, infuse fresh, modern energy into our work, and look beyond Hawai'i to the mainland U.S., Asia and the Pacific for their projects. Our firm has grown to include work in the San Francisco Bay Area, Southern California and Colorado.

Philpotts Interiors' multifaceted approach is evident in the recent update of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel and the new Aulani Disney Resort at Ko Olina. Each location has a story to tell. We tell it in our designs for the Hawai'i Convention Center, and even the green renovation of our own offices.
